Habit-Based Nutrition Counseling
Dietitian for Weight Loss: Habit-Based Nutrition Counseling
Lose weight by changing your habits, not by following another diet.
If you're looking for a dietitian for weight loss, you've probably tried the diets already. Most work for a while, then the weight comes back. We use the science of habit formation to build something that holds up once the motivation fades.

Why see a Dietitian for Weight Loss?

Common reasons people see a registered dietitian for weight loss:
-
Stuck despite “doing everything right”
-
Yo-yo dieting or repeatedly regaining lost weight
-
Confusion about what to eat for weight loss that actually sticks
-
Emotional or stress eating
-
Low energy or constant hunger while trying to lose weight
-
Starting or currently on a GLP-1 medication
-
Weight-related health concerns (high blood pressure, high cholesterol, blood sugar)
-
Fitting real nutrition changes into a busy schedule
-
Tired of restrictive diets that don’t last
-
Wanting a plan built around your life, not a generic meal plan

FAQs
Does insurance cover nutrition counseling for weight loss?
We accept most major insurance plans, and provide a superbill if we're out-of-network.
Will I have to give up foods I love?
No. We pair evidence-based nutrition with intuitive eating, not a list of forbidden foods.
Can a dietitian help with weight loss?
Yes. A registered dietitian can help you build an eating pattern that actually fits your life, work through what’s gotten in the way of past attempts, and adjust your plan as your body and routine change, which is different from a generic diet plan you follow on your own.
Can a dietitian prescribe weight loss medication?
No. Only a physician, nurse practitioner, or other licensed prescriber can prescribe weight loss medication, including GLP-1 medications. As your dietitian, we work alongside your prescriber, handling the nutrition side, like appetite changes, protein and fiber targets, and the habits that support your results.
