  • You want to combine nutrition science and the science of habit formation to get proven and lasting results.

How it works

Prior to Initial Session

Prior to the initial session, you will track your eating habits for 2 weeks. During this time, please also complete any paperwork assigned to you.

Initial Session

Discuss your current eating habits, medical history, past weight loss efforts, health goals, etc. We will work together to come up with a tailored plan to make healthy changes. 

Weeks 1-4

Weekly sessions with your dietitian to reflect on progress, set new goals, and form a game plan to continue improving your eating habits.

Weeks 5-16

Receive continuous support with biweekly sessions to make sure you stay on track.

What is a GLP-1 drug and how does it work? 

These weight loss drugs are commonly called GLP-1 agonists because they mimic the effects of a hormone called GLP-1 that our bodies naturally produce. Mimicking the GLP-1 hormone results in feeling more full, reduced appetite, slower digestion, and reduced cravings. The combination of these effects when taking GLP-1 drugs helps you lose weight.

Semaglutide
  • Sold under the brand names Ozempic and Wegovy

  • Wegovy was recently FDA-approved to reduce the risk of cardiovascular death, heart attack and stroke in adults with cardiovascular disease and either obesity or overweight. 

  • Typically administered as weekly injections, or as directed by your doctor

  • ​Regulates insulin and blood sugar, which helps regulate hunger levels 

  • Common side effects: nausea, stomach pains, diarrhea, constipation
